suggestions on a video card?

Hi all,
Still doing my shopping list and need help picking out a video card. This is what i've picked out so far.
Chieftec server chasis
Asus A7N8X deluxe retail mobo
AMD Athlon xp 2500 Barton retail
2x256 corsair xms 3200

looking for something good $200 and below. My window shopping is costing more than anticipated.

I plan on trying o/c ing sometime in the future if I don't fry my first computer build thanks.

Look around for an ATI 9600 pro if you want overclockability. Heck, it's a great card even w/out the overclocking.

The reguar 9600 is about $127, the Pro around $180.

No prob. There's about 15 different way to say 'computer graphics accelerator', so don't fret.

that link to the ati 9600 radeon has a bunch of different makers is one better than the other? also is there a difference between the new and the refurbished?

They all use the reference design, so no, there isn't much difference. The new comes in a retial box and has the ATI warranty and everything, so I'd stick with the new. The refurb is jsut the card, no warranty from ATI or something of the sort.

Be warned that ATI says Overclocking voids their warranty,. so don't OC it for maybe a month or so, as to make sure the card works and such.
