I use Epson Photo Quality Paper, only because one can generally find it for free or almost free after rebate. When I see such an offer, I'll grab a couple packs of 8.5x11 and 6x4, then use them up. This paper will go bad after a while so keep it wrapped in plastic in a dark place.

BTW, for printing digital pictures, 6x4 works perfectly for 1.3-megapixel pictures. I use the larger paper sizes for layouts involving several pictures.

p.s. Edwelly reminds me, I should mention that I use an Epson Color Stylus 740.

I use the HP premium photo paper and it looks nice. I also print using an HP DeskJet 932c.
hope this helps...

I use a photopaper from Staples called "Greatwhite" has a shark on the front of it, only reason is its 1/2 the cost of all the others and is made from recycled paper---

you mentioned using a Canon printer, this don't apply to you exactly but in some printers it is Important to use their papers.

A while back Epson inks did not bond/react well with other papers, something about a chemical reaction..

In your case I'd reccomend Kodak Heavy Gloss Paper.

It's easy to find 58# Kodak Glossy but the Heavy paper is not ..

The weight of it is 117# on some packs it shows 110#

Rumor has it that ink jet prints fade quickly, as fast as 3 months.

I have some "Portraits" printed on my HP "original" PhotoSmart printer that look new after 3 years. This is prints displayed, not in a album.

BTW, never expose your prints to Flourescent lighting or reflected sunlight. UV Rays will degrade the prints super fast.

I started using the Kodak 117# paper when ValueAmerica had it for $15.00 / 50 sheets and the HP Premium Glossy was about $50/50 sheets. big difference between a dollar per sheet and 30 cents.

Kewls thanks, i've actually got a pak of TDK medium weight (175gsm) glossy here, bought a trial pack of it. I'll see how that goes. Havent seen any HP or epson paper, kodak seems to be the cheappest i've seen sofar. TDK is around $1.20 per sheet and kodak around $0.75 per sheet. (Please remember i'm in australia so our $1 is worth about $0.50 is US $$$).

Thanks
