Dual Boot XP

I was wondering if any of you could help

I am trying to build a PC with a dual boot.

I have partitioned the hard drive and formatted both with NTFS.
I installed Win XP on both partitions and set up a dual boot.

All works ok you can boot to both partitions by selecting them in POST but the problem is that they can see each others drives

Is there a way to have a dual booting PC where you can’t see each others partitions?
I can do this when there is two physical hard drives but not with partitions on a single drive

Is this even possible ?

Nicklock makes one, called a "Hard Disk Selector". It's a physical switch. But it will completely disable the drive not being used, so sharing data between the two is not an option.

What brand of hard drive are you using? Certain drives, especially Quantum, may not work so well as I've had ones that would only work as a master when on a certain ribbon location.
