Misc Knoxpix and errors-need a little help here.

I downloaded Konxpix and tried it out. While booting up, I got these errors:

Auto Detection Hangs
Check Bios settings
Video (yet) unknown card, using XFree 86 (vesa) Server

Although I had these errors, it still booted. When I got into it though, I had no mouse. The arrow was there but it would not work. I have a Logitech usb (actually plugged into the PS/2 port with an adapter) cordless mouse. Since I had no mouse, I could not really look around much. I did, however, try to access the internet but could not. However, I found a thread in a Knoxpix forum and will try those suggestions first, once I get a mouse to work.

So, what of the errors and should I use a simply corded PS2 mouse? Here are my system Specs:

Enermax 431W EG465P-VE
AMD XP2100/ Zalman CNPS 3100 + HSF
MS 6380 K7T 266 Pro R
764 PC 2100 DDR (1 512 SpecTek + 256 Samsung)
2 Qty. 40GB Maxtor 7200 ATA133 (Onboard Promise Fastrak 100 RAID controller RAID 0 striped)
1.44 Imatation Floppy
nVIDIA GeForce2 GTS (MSI StarForce 815)
52x Creative CDROM
52x24x52 Samsung CDRW
Phillips Seismic Edge PS704 Sound
D-Link RTL8139(A/B/C)-based Fast Ethernet Adapter PC

As for internet, I am on a Belkin 4 Port Cable/DSL Gateway Router.

Try a plain old PS2 mouse and report back ....... I'm guessing that was the issue. I use usb (plugged into the usb ports -- with no issues) ..... but give the old ps2 mouse a try.

Let us know if it works then.

I got it to work. I had to type 'failsafe' at the boot prompt. Thanks!

Mostly for showing off Linux. For other things, I use a custom version of SlackLive!.
