Help me identify stick of SDRAM please

Hi

I am using the same memory stick as you are having problems with in a P3 machine. These are 256 Meg Dimms as I have 4 and all work and show properly. My motherboard is an Asus TUV4X.
See if you have access to an Asus board and it should show the true size, if not they are probably defective and should be returned. The retailer should have to prove they are working properly in one of there own machines.

Why can't manufacturers/vendors just put in plain words, somewhere on the stick, what the stick is? I've got several sticks of RAM I've collected over the years from doing work on other people's computers and on my own. Unless I have a written record (original box and/or receipt), I put them in my GOK (God only knows) box. Should be a standard.
