GeiL RAM: Is it good?

Ok, so I build my system (I'll post a link to the specs), but when I first fired it up, I was using a freind's brother's memory because I hadn't purchased it yet. Originally, I was going to buy the Corsair XMS PC2700, but it was $54-ish wherever I looked.

So I head over to newegg, and find a deal on GeiL 256mb PC3200, blue heatsinks. I don't mind my CAS latency at 2.5 instead of 2, as it isn't going to make or break my rig's benchmarks.

This is the page, and I need to know if this is good memory or not. I don't want it to break on down the line, and I like it because it's DDR400, instead of DDR333 so when I bump my FSB up later on, I won't be forced to buy new RAM.

EDIT: Here is the link to my PC's specs: http://www.techimo.com/forum/showthr...threadid=74162

I say Corsair XMS , Kingston Hyper X series, Geil , Buffalo, Mushkin.

those are the ranks of the well known RAM. It really matters by the latency timings tell u the truth just look at that and make sure u have atleast a PC3200 RAM

Well, the benchmarks I saw with Corsair XMS versus the little guys using CAS 2.5 didn't show a ton of difference. I would be getting DDR333 but again, when the time comes for a 400Mhz bus I want to be ready. Also, my mobo is an nForce2, so I'll be using two 256mb sticks for the dual-channel support.

Edit: Now that I've read the reviews on NewEgg, I'm a little wary of these guys. NewEgg has, for $40, a stick of Viking DDR333, is this any good?
