How to use a Sim from Sims Creator in the game?

I can't find a way to use a Sim created using 'Sims Creator'. I'd expected it to be a part of 'create family'. Any suggestions?

Do you have the file in the import folder?
There is an import folder within the sims program files folder. I've never used creator but I've imported families before from prior saves.

Actually there are 2 files, one 'head' and one 'body'.
Anyway the files are located in
c:\programs\maxis\The Sims\GameData\skins.
This seems to be the catalog where 'Sims Creator' save the files.

I've looked in the Export folder. Files there are named *.FAM.
Files saved from Creator are named *.BMP
