Kids HD is seen as CD/DVD on Win2k

I just added a Promise Ultra 100 tx2 controller to my ASUS Mobo. The 120 G WD HD shows on boot as 111G drive, But windows 2k mounts is as a CD/DVD. It shows up as a AVX drive. The WD is shown in the device manager but I can't access it since the drive letter 'E' is seen as a CD.

That happened to me tooooooo.....

My master was C:

My secondary hd was D: labeled as a CDrom drive...told me that I had software ready to burn to my......
my CDRom was E:
my CD/DVD player was F:
lol...
I went into my BIOS and told it to detect my secondary hd...no problems since....

Thanks for the reply, I hit on a solution shortly after posting the request (started getting desperately brave.)
I had an Adaptec SCSI card installed for another project that was not being used. After I removed it 'Disk Management' showed the new trive and it's formating as I write this.
