I would use usb. It just has a better cold in the port then ps2. There really is no difference between the two.

My vote goes to ps/2.
USB mice have refresh rate of approx 125hz.
PS/2 supports up to 200hz. (And yes the difference is noticeable. Not huge, but you can tell. Especially when gaming.)
ps/2 mice always work, even in safe more or with a boot disk. Not true for usb.
All the usb mice I've ever used (on various machines) have always had occasional, irritating glitches. Like not responding under certain circumstances, or missing a click every once in while. I've just never experienced the same flukes with the ps/2 port.
Plus, if you have a ps/2 port, why let it go to waste? Use it.

I agree with Out. The PS2 mouse port is specifically there for a mouse, why not use it. Putting a mouse in a USB slot is a waste of a USB slot IMO, that slot could be used for lots of other stuff like a camera, scanner, printer and more.

i could have this backwards, but can't you hit more keys on a keyboard simultaneously on a usb keyboard than a ps/2 keyboard?
