They have detected my LG cd-rom CRD-8522B to use DMA trasnfer mode...But after like 1 month now....i have no idea what happen...it changed back to PIO mode I checked their site for an update or something but there was nothing. Now i wanna know what can i do to get back the DMA mode cause it does not make sense...

Under the advanced tab on the IDE properties, isn;t there a drop down box where you can change it?

You might want to update your AGP drivers also.

agp is not video card drivers... it's the motherboard drivers.....

what motherboard do you have? check the manufacturer's website for drivers.

How do you have the CD configured in the machine ie: Is it on the primary or secondary IDE channel and do you have it as Master or Slave?

I was asking VeryTired how his devices were configured but since you posted this info I think most, probably including the device mfg's, would say that you have the two reversed and almost guaranteed most HD mfg's will tell you to never have an optical device on the same IDE channel as your HD.

i have my hd on IDE 0 which is master, and my cd-rom IDE 1 which is slave. It allows my harddrive have a DMA status, but my cd-rom's DMA is disabled and no matter what i do in BIOS, it won't change it. I have a Asus p4 s533 motherboard.
