JVC DVD player XV-S500BK compatability
The jvc dvd player I want to buy is listed as being compatible with dvd-r,vcd,svcd, and cd-r. Does this mean if I backup a dvd as dvd+r it won't be compatible with this player? I am also considering buying a verbatim dvd burner from tigerdirect which burns dvd+r format. any opinion or advice will be greatly appreciated.

It is compatible with dvd +... I have this dvd player and it works great

I burn my dvds with a Plextor dvd writer.

Thanks for the feedback. Have you tried XVCD or XSVCD,a format offered by eazyVCD?

NO I haven't... But if you read the reviews, I belive it can also read that aswell..
