Mr. CPU is on a distinguished road
what is a good wireless home network kit for around $100??

Hey all,
I am soon buying a laptop and I would like to know how to create a wireless network. I know that i would need a pcmcia card for the laptop as well as a wirless router. I would like it to be an 802.11b because my net connects at 10mbps and if im not mistaked that is for up to 11mbps? I will be networking at least 2 pc's one desktop and one laptop. Is there a wireless router out on the market that not only sends the net signal to the laptop's pcmcia card, but can also support wired conncections? Finally, I would appreciate any information about how to set this all up, because i dont really have much of a clue.
thanks
andy

most linksys, netgear, and d link make wireless routers that are for wireless and have a 4 port switch built into it.

i hear this router is easy to use and works flawless. but the distance kind of lacks and this can reach up to 22 mbps. But with wireless remember you will never ever reach those speeds How far are you wanting to extend your wireless network?

http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=20 more info on the router.

i would do some research on the network card and see if you can find some reviews
