Outdoors Video out of sync in Dos mode

Hello All,

While booting up or in dos mode, my screen looks distorted, scrambled, simply out of sync. Once WinXP finish loading the logon screen & enter windows, the problem is resolved until I boot up or enter dos again.

I believe this is a resolution issue with dos. Is there a way to change the resolution in dos to correct this issue?

I’m running WinXP SP1, ATI AIW RADEON 7500 Video Card with the digital output of the card connect to the digital connection of my Dell 1503FP (Flat Panel) monitors. Any input or help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I have a compaq qvision 210 (21") monitor that does that.
It worked fine before, but when it started losing refresh rates (was able to do 85Hz@1024x768 earlier) it started losing the ability to adjust itself to different modes.

Now, if I have a different resolution than 1024x768 I have to manually adjust the screen alot for it to go to the screen. Otherwise it's horribly distorted and the edges are way out of screen.
I believed it to be because of the monitor, but as you seem to have a new tft display, I doubt it to be that.

I would also like to know if someone knows a fix for this.
