BIOS problem

Hi to all... I am in need of some help.

I am on a Dell Inspiron 8200 notebook. It has a P4 2.0 Ghz processor and runs on a Windows XP Home edition OS. Here's my problem....

Whenever I turn off or attempt to restart windows, I get a blue screen message reading error "kdbclass.sys" I have attempted to run in safe mode and disable drivers to isolate the problem, but none of these solutions have helped.
Reading other forums, I believe this may be a motherboard BIOS problem. Is my only solution to reset the BIOS and reinstall windows XP?

any feedback would be great....

daniel

Have you tried " System Restore" yet ????? Should have a recent config if you had it running . Do you have the restore disks that may have come with your computer ???
