2100+ @ 4100+

WOW!

im sure that some of you have seen this at vr-zone.com as i have been looking at it for a couple of months, but i never did the math.

cow, these people of whom go by "only4pro.com" from finland have taken a 2100+ and ran it up to 4100+. this answers my question about over 200FSB. thats killer. Im sure that this team had to rifle through a lot of chips to get this kind of a performer, but that is really amazing.

http://www.vr-zone.com/guides/AMD/TBred/ [the first wcpuid image is theirs]

Liquid Nitrogen cooling was required as they had the Vcore up to 2.2, i bet that computer takes a lot of money to run!

i wonder what the sandra benchmarks are for the Ram Throughput?

this has to be a record [for this week at least] can anyone find a higher overclock?

*note* i didn't go to their barton OC database because the differing cache and MHz makes a comparison very difficult.

I wonder how much the LN2 costs per gallon? It's fun to play with even if you aren't using it to cool a CPU

Imagine all the money they spent doing that, surely it would be cheaper to go out and buy a dual mp2.6 or even better, a crays.

and don't call me surely.

What I've read about the ln2 coolers here (finland), they get some 20litre canisters for free, or pay a very minimal price for it.

It's about breaking the limits

more tests would be nice, to at least attempt to prove it's stable, cause if it's not stable, it doesn't count. Running wcpuid doesn't mean it's stable by any stretch, I didn't see anything else either that shows they tested it.

oh yeah and look at these p4's, i' sure a 5.1ghz p4 will beat a 3.3ghz athlon by quit a large margin. Again though, if that isn't stable, it's worthless.
