Microphone Headset Problem

Im having a hell of a time getting Sound to come out of my Headset Microphone

Its a Mono Headset (1 speaker) but still

I went to Advanced Volume Controls and Playback set to Auxilary (my friend said thats what should be turned on for audio to come through)

But still nothing

All switches are in appropriate position

All plugs\cords are in the right spot

The Mic is brand new

So what the *$#&%*#$

Reknup, first of all be patience, you only posted this thread less than an hour ago.

Second of all, trickery to get people to look at your thread is just plain uncool not to meantion the uncoolness of double posting threads on the same topic.

The speaker part of the headset should work with it plugged into the sound output jack (speaker / line out).

The only other major options are line monitoring if you want to listen to the sound while you speak (probably not) and mic boost if your mic has a low pickup.
