its a real bummer about the 256MB version of the Radeon 9600Pro... they used their excess 5.0 ns chips so that they could make some money back from their radeon 8500 ram.
the 128MB versions have 2.8ns ram on them, and absolutely smoke the 256 version because their clocks are something like 75 percent higher. if i owned the 256 i would get all kinds of copper heatspreaders for it, and OC it to the moon, just so i could get a decent performing card.
i changed my mind from the 256 version, and decided to get the 128 version because of this.
what kind of performance jump did you recieve?
