Links dont work

I have winXP pro and when i click on a link it wont open the page.

The search bar would say , " enter keyword or web address here ".

I think its a problem with IE i tryed downloading a driver but then it says something wrong with windows logo system and then when i try fixing that it says i needs another thing i forgot what it was cuz i did it like 3 weeks ago.

WTF BE PATIENT!

Have you tried repairing IE yet? Copy/paste this address if you can't hotlink. http://www.windows-help.net/WindowsXP/howto-03.html
If you can remember what that "other thing" is, we can probably be of more help to you. So take a deep breath and relax...

Greetings all. Well just stumbled across this forum today and noticed this thread whilst trying to solve a problem I have. I too run Windows XP Pro and found the same problem with hyperlinks not working properly. I fixed mine by going to Start/Run and typing

regsvr32 urlmon.dll

You will get a little pop up message saying it was successful and there ya go - well it worked for me anyway so hopefully it will do the same for you Shadow.

Right now to try and sort my poota problem out.

Send a message via Yahoo to Brainchild
go into control panel, add and remove programs, and remove IE,it will then give you the option to remove or repair it, choose repair anmd see if it will work then.

If your gonna blow it up, I'll give $10 for it

Outdoors I'm going INSANE with these links!

I, too, am having problems with getting the hyperlinks to work in XP Pro. Some of the hyperlinks work, some don't. Plus, I cant even BEGIN to contemplate clicking on a javascript button.

I did the following:

1. Repaired IE 6.0
2. scf /scannow
3. Reinstalled IE 6.0
4. Downloaded Java Runtime Environment from Sun
5. Downloaded Jscript R.E. from Microsoft
6. Told my computer that I truly cared about it.

What else can I do??????

Rob
