ati 9600 pro 256mb

I have a ati 96-- pro 256mb card and when i benchmark it using 3dmark heres what i get:

Core Clock 324 MHz
Memory Clock 203 Mhz

I look at people with the same system as me almost, yet they have scores like this:

Core Clock 482 MHz
Memory Clock 360 MHz

And sometimes those scores go even higher for them...sometimes up to 500mhz for core and 450 or so for memory. I have 256mb vs everybodies else 128mb and its still worse.
I am running an Albatron board with an 8x slot running at 8x. I was wondering if there is anything i need to change in the bios to get it working at its full potential. Because surely it just doesnt run at those speeds? Must be fast? No?
Well any opinions would be nice!
Thanks!
Tony

Sorry to tell you, but at 325/200 that's a plain non-pro 9600. 9600pro rated speed is 400/300, with lots of headroom apparently.

I use a program called Powerstrip

It lets me raise the Engine and Memory Clock Speeds with a simple bar!

Its a really nice program for overclocking easily

Google Powerstrip and download it!

I went from 250 to 300 mhz Engine
and
333 to 400 Mhz Memory Speed

Improved 30fps

And very little temprature incline

Been running like this for 6 months and all is fine

POWERSTRIP

and if your board supports it enable Fastwrites in the Bios

It will bypass the system and go straight through the CPU increaseing preformance by very little.... But still its better than nothing!

Your board and Card must support it.... Read up in your manuals

Reknup, sorry, Fastwrites does nothing of what you wrote. It just accelerates the write process on the AGP port a wee bit - nothing is bypassed, the CPU isn't offloaded.

The 9500 Pro is faster then the 9600 Pro.

... and even more so if your presumed "pro" card isn't.

in theory, yes. In actuality the 9600 beats it because it doesn't face the same memory bandwidth problems the 9500 had. More pipes, but can't get the data there fast enough apparently. I read that somewhere
