On July 25, 2003, Abit officially announced their IC7-MAX3, aimed towards enthusiasts. The Max3 board uses Intel's 875P chipset so it supports Intel's lastest 800 Mhz FSB, and like many of the Max series, it doesn't have the legacy I/O ports, but includes the newer technologies, like USB and Firewire.
This board incorporates Abit's OTES which was first seen on the Geforce 4 Ti4200. The OTES on this motherboard cools the 4-Phase power, which is probably first to appear on the market.
While Gigabyte has the Dual Miracle like Dual Bios, Dual Cooling, Dual Raide, Dual DDR, etc.
