DirectX 9 upgrade???

Good morning Troops!

I haven't been keeping up with the DX versions lately, is it "safe" to upgrade to DX9 or are there still issues being worked out?

Win2K systems at work, no gaming. (at least there better not be! )

Thanks!
Mike

To honest we don't install DX9 on the work machines here. We did have trouble with DX9 (not the A or B versions) and a few IBM Thinkpads and thats why we're leaving it off (and it's not needed for anything we're doing here). I have installed it at home with no problems however.

Hey Sarge, you still using 4 year old systems?

But, to answer your question, DirectX 9 upgrade is smooth in 2K and I believe some games run less jerky.

AFAIK, no issues.

I though your Boy played games.

And I know all Military Personnel play games so I just assumed.

Wrongly.

PS- Replied to your PM.

afiak, dx9 has no issues. been using it on xp, it's gone smoothly.

if you're not gaming, there's no real gains from installing it, though.
