How Far Can I Overclock My 2400+?

I was wondering how far I could overclock my 2400+ with stock heatsink.

well, not knowing what the stock heatsink is made of or if you are using a thermal paste rather than pad, thats hard to answer accurately.

what are your current idle/load temps?

i have my 2400+@2700+ [166*13] and running it on a little bitty silent breeze 462 at 52C, but i just purchased an SLK 800 so i could go much farther [as far as heat is concerned]

also, you have to keep the point of view that you just bought the worst overclocking chip of all time because it is impossible to tell how far yours will overclock, as to not disappoint yourself, even though yours might hit 3000+ like it wasn't doing anything.

i would say that keeping your voltage at 1.65-1.675 you could hit 2600+ by shoving your FSB to 145 or so, and not see any major rise in heat, but this is all speculation.

good luck.

also, some specs on your system would help, what other kinds of cooling do you have? ambient room temp? full load all the time, or more relaxed occasional gaming/surfing?
