Identify of Chip?!
Hey all.
I would like to know what core my AMD 2000+ has. Preferably without yanking of that huge heat sink and fan.
My friend kindly built me this system while i was busy moving cities and then shipped it to me. So i don't have the foggiest. I have WINXP pro.

Wow. Very clever, punker.
TBC, download
this
handy little zip, extract it, and run the executable. Lights up all the info on your AMD CPU.
(found out I have a Pal and not a T-bred, <sigh>)
Edit: I should probably include the link, huh?

another program that is popular and handy for identifying your exact hardware is
Aida32
...this will give you the info you need and is handy for checking temps and system info without having to open your box.
