does overclocking video card viod warranty?

Im wondering if overclocking video cards viod the warranty? Also does removing the stock thermal pad and using artic silver 3 viod warranty? Also does replacing stock heatsink and fan viod warranty?

It will be very difficult for them to see that you have overclocked your video card, so they would need to prove that.

What about the overclocking tools that companies include with their cards. Will is still viod warranty if I overclock that way?

some vendors include the nvtool with their driver downloads I believe.

Quite a few have offered overclocking tools with their cards over the last few years. Obviously these cards are an exception but I expect that most other video card warranties would be voided by overclocking. Of course, it depends upon whether it comes up in conversation or not ;-). I say this and I'm a retailer ... sheeesh.

Every new Nvidia card comes with overclocking software. I've bought Nvidia powered cards from MSI, AOpen and Gigabyte; my friend has a card from Asus; all of these cards came with overclocking software.
