Temperature for fx5900 ?
Hi, i bought the fx5900 a few days ago and was wondering what sort of temp it should be running at ?
When it's idle ie desktop, the temp is 48°C and after running like 3dmark 2001se its at 84°C. Now that seems pretty hot to me ? So could anyone tell me if thats the correct temp it should be running at or is it too high ?
I have had no problems with the gfx card, it has not crashed to desktop or froze in any games or anything and seems very stable, it's just i read on another website, that they tested an fx5900 and they said it was very unstable at 77°C.
Also in the nvidia driver properties it has a threashold for 140°C which isn't very good because the card will have melted by then and i will have had no warning hehe, so does anyone know how to change that to a more reasonable level ?
I cannot use winfox because it doesn't like the det 45.20 drivers everytime i launched the program it corrupted my desktop and made everything unreadable, so i had to uninstall it.
