Suggestions for Battery Replacement for UPS

I have an APC BackUPS Pro 650 (S). APC wants outrageous cash for battery replacement. I know there are places out there where alternatives to APC can be found.

Where are they? Which places have you folks used? Is there certain brand batteries that are better than others, etc.,etc? With online sources is there something to watch out for?
