File sharing...Please respond soon!

Need Help!
I'm at a friend's house, and I need to give him some files. I have a hub and two cables, and I can play games through said system (ethernet). However, if I try to share, he can see my computer, but when he tries to get onto the damn thing...

\\Shadyj is not accessible. You might not have permission to access the network resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if you have access permissions.

The network path was not found.

WTF??? No matter what I do, this happens. How can I resolve this?

PS: THIS IS URGENT, A REPLY IS REQUESTED WITHIN 1 HOUR.
Reply even if you are past this deadline, however.

Thankyou for your time, this may seem a tad rude, but I am in desperate need...

Send a message via AIM to Siliconjunkie
try \\ipaddress

And make sure that there is an account and that something is shared.

Or, you can try actually mapping a drive and specifiying another login.

Hmmmm...

At school, the sharing is fine (where we have a massive network) but this is just a hub...
How do I set up an account for him?
Also, is the fact he just gets "network path not found" significant at the bottom of the error?
How do I find out the IP? (Sorry, I forgot )

share off a folder you want to access

then go to run and type \\computer name\shared folder name

see if that works

Already tried that, I get:

Windows cannot find...blahblahblah

Someone told me to try "tricking the host into thinking the other computer is one of it's own users by creating an account identical to one found on the host machine on the guest machine"....
Anyone?

Yip.
If they aren't the guest can see the hosts workgroup, but not access it...
