ATI Sapphire 9600 Pro 256mb Issues

I have a Sapphier ATI 9600 Pro 256mb video card. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of speeds i should be getting out of this. I tested it with 3dmark03 and got the following and then looked at similar systems to mine who did the same test, but got a much better core speeds.

VGA Memory Clock: 202.5MHZ
VGA Core Clock: 324.0MHZ

I looked up people with similar systems to me with the same card and they have speeds of up to 500MHZ. Anything i am doing wrong?
I have a good Mb with an 8x slot. So there is no probs there. Is there something in the BIOS i may need to change? Any help would be nice. Thanks
Tony H

The people with the super-high clock speeds are overclocking their cards. Still, I thought the standard clock speeds for the 9600 Pro were 400 core and 300 (600 DDR) memory

The 325/200 speeds sound more like a 9600 non-pro version. Does your card have a fan on the heatsink?? (the Sapphire 9600 Pro has a fan, the 9600 non-pro does not)

the 256MB version has non state of the art ram in it, rather some 1+ year old ram on it, therefore has lowered clocks on the RAM, and to keep it from beating the 128 version too much, has a lowered core to boot.

your speeds seem accurate.

I have seen only passive heatsinks on the 256 version. if i were to own it, i would have copper ram sinks and a home made copper cpu heatsink and fan on it, and OC the crap out of it.

the 128MB versions have much higher core and clock speeds, so don't feel cheated... even though you were ...but they made powerstrip to fix that

Was it really necessary to raise two threads on the same problem?
