Problem with TV out again

I've got a Prolink Geoforce FX 5200 videocard. I want to be able to watch full screen video on my Tv, while doing other things on my computer.

On my old ATI 7000 I was able to this, but on this card I can't. Either my monitor goes black and I get video on the TV out. Or my tv output(the video) shows up blank. Or I get video on both monitor and Tv, but I cant make the video on the desktop small, so I can start another application.

I don't see why I cant just make the video on my monitor small, then switch to another application. So that it fills the monitor screen, while still being able to see the full screen video on my TV. Whatever I try I just can't get it to work that way.

Strange thing is I can make the video small on the tv, while it stays large on the monitor. But not the other way around.

It really sucks not being able to use the computer while I watch a DVD movie. I guess I'll just have to get use to it. Man I should have stuck to ATI cards instead of this Geoforce crap.

why not use two video cards

If you have the slots run two video cards at once. Your old one is probably still kicking around then you'll be able to watch and play.
Good luck
