Systems 60GB hard drive only shows 10mb

hey guys, i had a problem with my second hard drive a few days ago, i had a problem with my computer and had to hard restart a few times, and i guess this messed up my secondary hard rives boot record so i went to the windows recovery console and did a FIXBOOT (i have winxp btw) the hard drive no longer says it needs to be formatted but only shows the drive as being a 10mb drive! how do i fix this? i have about 30gigs of stuff on this drive that i need to keep. i know its still all there... HELP PLEASE!

I have seen others do the same thing with the same results. Maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong but you boot your system form the C: drive, that is where the boot records exist. Consequently there is not a boot record on your secondary drive. By attempting to fix something that is nonexistant it corrupts the allocation tables on the second drive. Why it does I cannot answer yet.

I'm not certain how to correct the problem but I believe your data still is intact on the drive.
Do not get impatient and do something rash and permanently destroy your data. Give some of us the time to reaserch and find a solution.

oh thank you very much, i do not want to lose any of my data, this problem is frustrating and driving me crazy! lol
any help would be greatly appreciated
