AOL probing my computer

why is AOL tring to get in to my computer. i have AOL as my service provider but in checkin my firewall hit list i found this ,35 hits in 7 seconds from the same IP. i traced the IP and it goes to AOL

Are you running AIM? The servers that program connects to are AOL ones.

It could also be someone else wtih AOL as the ISP trying to probe the network.

Looks like a port scan
If its from a proxy server, its not necessarily the corporation of AOL but probably a stupid user scanning you.

AOL does collect info form your PC/ habits( try zonealarm) AOL does have a program or something that calls back to AOl with info everynow and then(hidden). But want you have could be someone with a portscanner.. going thou AOL.

want kinda Firewall doe ya have? software or hardware?

i have both a router/firewall and a software firewall i have reported it to AOL but at least i know that no one is gettin in . i will test my firewalls with different programs everynow and then. i use the one that my firewall comes with and then ill test with HACKER WACKER, AND SHIELDS UP
