Inexplicable inability to connect to the 'net

Last night I was on the web, and whilst in the middle of browsing my computer was suddenly unable to connect to any more websites or anything. I'm connected to our wireless network with good signal strength and I didn't change any settings or anything, it just stopped working and I'm absolutely stumped as to what the problem could be. Other computers are on the network and connecting with no problems, so what on earth could be causing this sudden problem?

I'm using Windows XP and a Netgear USB MA101 wireless thingy.

is this the only wireless computer you have in the house? or do you have more than one computer using the wireless?

There's a laptop as well (on the wireless network), which hasn't had any sudden problems and a palm pilot thingy which is also OK. The access point is a netgear one. Since the other things are working fine I assume it must be something in my particular computer, but I can't figure out what, seeing as I haven't changed any settings or anything and it's been working fine. In fact, I'm starting to worry that it may be a hardware problem.
