Kids Is there shim on the Radeon 9600 Pro core?

I was wondering if the Radeon 9600 Pro has a shim on it's GPU because I'm thinking about adding extra cooling to it, whenever I get it. It's BBA, so I don't know, I think the 9700 Pro had it, but I don't know if the 9600 Pro has it, because I looked, and didn't find any answer.

im currently 9600pro shopping as well, and i saw a page making references to it being hooked up to a water block to OC it, and they really left me in the dust if it had one or not, they gave me one of these:

"if your radeon doesn't have a shim, you shouldn't modify your cooling, but otherwise you will be okay"

so im guessing this is a referral to certain brands having them, and others not.

Im gonna say if you got an ATI, Gigabyte, Hercules, or sapphire, you probably have one.

the powercolors run on passive heatsinks mostly, so i doubt they are equipped.

but who knows, perhaps you're about to find out eh?

Yep exactly. I was planning to watercool it But watercooling is awfully expensive, I already have my Corsair and that chewed out $230, and I was thinking about getting a dedicated water cooling just for my video card . I read the same thing DPA about if there's a shim, don't take the heatsink off, otherwise, you'd be screwed, that's why I don't want to take it off, find out there's no shim, and then I voided the warranty, not something I want to do.
