Screen Resolution Adjustable?

Good afternoon All,
Question of the day. I have a program that i need to view in 1280 X 1024 screen resolution. The problem is that whenever I try to adjust the system properties, the screen changes to that resolution but the panel size doesnt adjust (basically I have to "scroll around" to view the desktop. Anyone know how I can fix this?
I am running a presario laptop 2110us with xp. If you need any more info, just let me know.

Hi inzzane.

I think that your max resolution would be 1024x768. LCD screens can not display greater than their native resolution.
i.e. your screen would actually be made of 1024x768 dots & that is your limit (without the scrolling option)

To adjust your screen, you have to go to the Graphics option there you may find Panel Fit > Enable it, it might solve tour problem. i'm using a Toshiba Stellite Laptop, I also encoutered this problem and fixed it. U also can adjust from your display properties selecting your monitor/notebook.
