Windows media player 9 time freeze

I made a movie and encoded it in mpeg1. The movie is over 6:10, but it says the length of the movie is always 6:10. After the movie plays, it timer still goes, but the length timer is still the same. Its hard to explain, so I'll give out an example really quick.
Beginning of the movie 0:01/6:10. Nearing the end of the movie it'll say 12:42/6:10. I don't know what the problem is, but I need this problem to be fixed.
