KX400-8XV CPU Issues

I have a AMD XP 2400+ chip in the KX400-8XV motherbaord and when i boot up it says its a amd XP 1500+ which it is not. I had the same issue in my old motherbaord but i was able to change the CPU settings to be and AMD XP 2400+. Does anyone know how i can change this setting in the BIOS?
Many thanks!
Tony

Gday Tony.
I'll assume that is an Albatron KX400-8XV motherboard.
CPU settings ahould be under 'Advanced' in your bios.

Pictures of that Bios can be found here and here
AMD Zone Reveiw.

Hope that helps.

Welcome to TIMO

Thank You, Kinda =)

Well i know about the BIOS settings and where to look for it. But the thing is the BIOS WONT enable me to change the speed of my CPU. Maybe i need to change another setting so that it knows the CPU is faster? Because i know it defiently should be 2400+ not a measly 1500+ lol. God help me with this!
LoL, i just have no luck, any more help would be appreciated. But thanks for trying!!!
And thank you....youve got a great community here =)
