Can not get Ghost Recon to run!!!
Title says it all.
It came bundled w/ my msi Ti4200.
I can install just fine, but then it never runs. It starts to, then kicks me back out to the desktop.
I've tried:
installing, reinstalling, installing after a fresh format, tried with DX 8.1, DX 9.0, applied all patches, tried w/ old nvidia geforce drivers, with new GF drivers. No unneccesary tasks running. No overclocking, etc, etc.
This is CRAP if you ask me, to have what is supposed to be a great game, and not being able to even get it started!
Any ideas?!?!?!?

Try setting compatibilty to Windows 98/ME (right click on ghost recon.exe ->Properties->compatibility) assuming you are using WinXP.

Yeah I don't think you will have an easy solution... if my memory serves me right, and I'm pretty sure it does, Red Storm doesn't offer support for Windows XP for its Rainbow Six 1 & 2 generation of games... I had a similar problem with Rogue Spear...
One last solution, try changing your Color Quality to 16 bit/32 bit in your Display panel

GR runs on XP fine for me. There is a pretty good size patch out there for it. May want to try that.

tried it, still jack. Isn't GR relatively new though? I can't imagine they'd include it w/ a new card if it doesn't work. Thanks for you help MMLD.

| Not a problem, still pulling my hair out though, really don't know what else to try. Maybe I'll shoot an email to MSI and UbiSoft.
