Well, that's a good question! I haven't booted up in quite a long time. I run FaD 24/7. My PC hasn't been off in probably a few months, at least. Anyway, they say that RAID actually makes boot-up take longer. My last set-up had four 40GB ATA 133 Maxtor's, each on it's own channel, in RAID 0. Booting up used to take an eternity! A buddy of mine has two of those drives in RAID 0, and his takes forever to boot up, too. I know that with this new set-up, my boot-up time has probably been cut in half. No kidding! However, it may still be longer than with a single drive. I'll have to time it one of these days. I know that other things seem to go much faster too, especially working with large video files and stuff like that.
