I'm not quite sure how to put into words why i believe this game is wrong, but look at my other examples, are you saying that they would be ok?

I do believe the terrorists would be proud of the makers of this game, as well as anyone that supported it.

Don't take my words out of context. And i didn't accuse anyone directly, how is that a PERSONAL attack?

and the difference is that GTA is fictional. This is based on a single real event, not just a made up possible, but completely made up situation.

Aren't we talking about a "Game" here. Do you play the role as the terrorists? NO.So how can you say it glorifies them.

As long as the games are not glorifying the people who perpetrated the attacks in the game , I'm ok with it. Doesn't mean I'll play it (as with this game)... but I'll let it be.

Violent games emulate the feeling of killing people (innocent or not) with guns... and guns have killed more people in America than in Sept 11.. And you play as the perp. in the games which is far worse than playing the victim. Where were you when the games were released? Waiting in line to get them, I bet!

I only have a problem with this specific game because of the fact it is recreating a real event, with you as a supposed real person, trying to escape a real disaster, and this has been called just a "game". GTA is game. 9-11 is NOT a game. THAT'S the difference.

Guns do NOT kill people, people kill people.

Ok, so your saying that if the game was based on Planes flying into sky scrapers in New Jersey... you would be ok with it????? People have died in drive bys, having cars run over them by drunks etc... yet you are ok with playing GTA even though its in a different locale.

And an innocent person getting shot/run over by another person is not a real event??

Having the same event in a different location is no different. Having a game that you are the victim of a specific drive by that did happen would be just as bad, but having a drive by in a fictional place with fictional people is tolerable. What makes this game bad, is the specific event it is trying to exactly emulate.

AFAIK, they are not using the victims names/police men names in the game.
Tolerable to you, intolerable to some of the victims' family and friends of every violent act in America. Yet, we embraced this genre of games a long time ago.
BTW, You are contradicting yourself in the above post... Drive bys are an actual event, equally tragic to Sept11... its just that it is based in a fictional(different) local with fictional people.. yet drive by victims are drive by victims regardless of whether they are fictional or not.
