9-11 Survivor is a game project that examines the role of media in our culture, and the influence that continuous, hyper exposure has on our overall perception of the distinctions between reality and media mediation. This project raises questions regarding how and why popular media forms, such as games and movies, deal with tragedy, conflict and violence.

Yes, this does take a very terrible situation and turns it into a "game". But, if you dont like it, dont get it. There have been other tragic days that have been turned into games. I personaly think that this i minor when compared to Grand Theft Auto III really. And yes, if it is a free mod, i would download it and try it out. I would not try it out glorify the deaths of alot of inocent people, but to bring more understanding on my end to what happened.

If you look at the graphics they are subpar at best, give the screen shots a look.
Take a look at the soundtrack clips too, another class move.
Personally I don't have the time (or can i get by the tend to move toward laziness) to talk to the developers, nor do they care. I just found your comment calling it cool to be a bit distasteful (and if you are talking about the graphics as you say, then you need to look at any game made in the last 2 years to see much better graphics) | I don't mean any disrespect to you or anybody, take my comment as you may.
as for the graphics, yeah i know there are millions of games with great graphics, so what.
I still like the screenshots for this game. |

Hey,
We have games of WWII, Pearlharbor, and other stuff around... so I don't see any reason to get angry over this. They aren't glorifying the terrorists or anything, they are just trying to recreate the enviornment. I'm for it, let them do what they want. If you don't like it, don't play it... same goes for all other violent games. I would have been against this if it was released 2 years ago because of the timing, but I think its ok now.
Now whether it is going to be a good game is a whole other question.

Are they planning on trying to sell the game or is it just a free add on to the game?
Personally this doesn't bother me too much. It's not trying to promote people to fly planes into buildings and they didn't make this the day after Sept. 11

I just can't see how this could be any less than offensive. What will they do next - Rape Victim Survivor? I can't believe someone put this much effort into this.
If you feel otherwise that's your deal but I just can't see it any other way.

Plus they would have to license the UT2k3 engine... thats over a half a million dollars I think. Quote: |

| My feelings exactly...
