Geforce FX5600 8xAGP & Soyo SY-P4I875P Dragon 2 problem

I'm new at posting, and have heard great things about these forums from friends and online. I have just never had the problems yet I guess. Well, hopefully someone can help me out because no tech support comes close.
Specs

Soyotek SY-P4I875P Dragon 2 platinum edition.
500w Arrow PS
P4 2.4 Ghz
512 MB corsaid dual channel i dont' remember what PC but it works fine.
SoundBlaster Audigy2 Platinum
2 WD 120GB 7200 RPM HDD
****PRoblem area - PNY Geforce FX5600 4x/8x AGP 256 MB vid card.

My problem is I have a Soyotek SY-P4I875P Dragon 2 Platinum Edition. I have all the recommended ram for it, Corsair, 512 MB dual channel memory. I'm running a P4 -2.4Ghz. Here's where it gets difficult. I have a PNY 4x/8x AGP Geforce FX5600 w/256MB. and whenever I plug it into my agp slot, my cpu fan turns on, lights go on, everything, except blank screen. no beeps, no nothing. I've been getting the loop around from soyo, telling me to wipe my cmos and check the power supply, check for grounds..etc. You know how it goes. Well, the problem is before i checkd out there webpage i had done all this. Including check the video card in a 4x AGP slotted motherboard, and it worked fine. I didn't have to go into the Bios and change anything. I've done all the updates for the bios on the Soyo motherboard, and yet the only time I can actually get a screen to come up and work is when I have the cmos checksum error----defaults loaded prompt. (Usually after doing the JP5 cmos battery jumper reset). this is the only time that the video card will work. I get it going, restart, and bam, no screen. I plugged in a 4x agp card into the slot, and it kinda worked. However, the screen kept blinking off and jumping around. I know this is a long post, but nyone with little knowledge in this plz help me! I'm getting desperate!!!
