A7n8x BIOS update

I want to get some more control in my bios(in FSB). I have read that you need to flashyour bios. I think someone said it was some german bios or what ever. Where can I get some good bios's? A7N8X DX2.0

A7N8X Deluxe

I wouldn't suggest using any kind of "unofficial" German BIOS (if one exists). I'd even stay away from any Asus "official" Beta BIOS unless I was independantly wealthy.

Maybe there's a European support site for Asus where you could find a Beta BIOS? I know there's a Beta BIOS available for my old EPoX MVP3G5 on the European EPoX support site that isn't shown on the North American site.

You should already have 1Mhz steppings with this board. Go into the Bios and change CPU Frequency Multiple Setting to Manual. This will show you all increments instead of jsut 100, 133, 166, 200.

Do you have a link for the new version you found? I'd most likely not use it but would like to check it out just the same

Sorry, D4rk5t4r - can't decipher any of that...

Did some hunting around and found this: Uber BIOS for Asus A7N8X

This BIOS update isn't really "German" or from the German Asus site (if one exists). "Uber" is a German word meaning "super" or "ultimate" and this is an unofficial, unsupported custom BIOS.

Looks like this may actually be worth investigating

Try a full reset by killing all power to mobo. I pushed my RAM a little to far and caused a hard crash. And after a cool down I booted and got back to BIOS. Keep us updated.
