Kids ATI Radeon 9800 Pro mhz timing display problems with LCD monitors

I am planning on purchasing an ATI RADEON AIW 9800 Pro graphics card, but I have read that this cards predecessor (9700 Pro) had display artifact problems with analog LCD monitors because they generally run at 65mhz refresh rate,- and the 9700/9800 have an 85mhz optimal refresh rate timing. I know that most people prefer a CRT monitor for games, but I have had no problems playing games with this LCD monitor, and actually prefer it (in fact, everyone I know comments on how sharp the image is, how great the colors are and that they don't see any of the blur ghosting trails that most analog LCD displays have with fast moving images,- and I have to agree that I have seen few LCD monitors that are its equal). Has ATI come up with a driver change that allows for adjusting/matching timing for use with LCD monitors?

I know that digital (DVI) LCD monitors work fine, but are you sure about ANALOG LCD monitors? Mine runs at 60Mhz refresh. I know that the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro has both analog (SVGA) and digital (DVI) inputs, but the AIW 9800 Pro has only a DVI and an adapter for SVGA connecting to the DVI input,- and I have to wonder about whether adapting thru the DVI input is going to be the same signal quality as with the actual SVGA input.

n-Videa GForce cards have never seemed to have problems with this issue. Also, ATI Radeon Hercules cards thru third party Guillemot have also seemed to provide more user tweakable drivers and interfaces that ATI's own standard drivers (I don't like the company, Guillemot, but overclockers have always preferred their cards and drivers). I have always gone with PNY brand for n-Videa cards, and with ATI themselves for their cards. I really do hope ATI has worked the analog LCD issue out,- but I find nothing regarding a fix in their troubleshooting/driver fix history database..
