trdfreak , In my opinion this forum is one of the best places to learn and get help with overclocking. I know from experience, before I joined this forum I knew nothing about overclocking or many other things. These guys in here are very willing and helpful with any questions or concerns that you have about it. Go ahead and try 'em out , you'll learn alot.

The Samsung ram is great.

What mobo do you have?

If its an n-force2, set the cpu to 11 (multiplier) x 200 (fsb). This is the setting for a 3200+, which, so far all the 2500+ cpu's have been able to reach, without any problems.

If you got nforce2 dont get GEIL ram unless you got the EPOX mobo. Otherwise just go with Corsair XMS series. Just get two of the same not the twinx cause its the same and you save money.

Eryk, not necessarily. If the stock hs/fan will keep the temps at around 48c (idle) or 55c (full load) after the overclock, then you'll be fine.
If the temps get above 55c (full load), then you'll need an aftermarket hs/fan. The SLK 800 is a pretty good hs.

Read on the latency timings its kind of complicated if u never worked with RAM before.

Just for an example. I have never o'clocked before, but my 3000 is running at 2300mhz. 11.5x200 core is 1.75. using kigston hyper "x" ddr400 ram. temps running full load are m'board--34, cpu-43 hitting 46 on a hot day.

if I can do it, anybody can.

I got my 2500+(1.8Ghz) to 2.2GHz on first try.

Specs: 200x11, 512 3500 Geil Golden Dragon, Aero 7+(40deg idle), Abit NF7-S ver 2.0, and ATI 9800.

I want to go farther but for now it's not worth frying anything. Heck, I got a 3200+ with 400Mhz FSB for $80 shipped. Can't beat that deal.
