Problems with sound over DMX Xfire 1024

well topic says it all i have a DMX XFIRE 1024 sound device the problem is like this :
I installed the NEWEST drivers there are out for this card
now im using a Sony MDR-CD280 headphones

anyway when i plug them into the front speakers of the sound device it doesnt seem to be high enough cause the output is so low i BEARLY hear it in the headphones
and if i plug it into the back speakers place it doesnt seem to work(not like i need it anyway)

so i thought ill try to link my guitar emp so i did that and all i got is not stearo output to my headphones ... meaning i hear in both sides same which isnt helping me in games and stuff
;/

so i cant understand how im suppose to have my headphones working with the sound card properly so i can even hear whats going on

you guys are my last chance

thanks,
Avi

There are volume controls, in windows and in dmx control panel.
Have you tried raising those sliders?

I sold my card long ago so I don't remember any specific stuff there...

But, I remember that if I changed the digital settings, I wouldn't get any sound until rebooted.

It was a great card b t w.
If it refuses to function, try the older drivers again.

Just curious have you updated the Direct X? Look in Direct X and see if there is a problem with the sound do some sound test Not sure if that might help its worth a try

hello, i have the sollution to your problem, since i have had the same problem. On your soundcard are 2 sets of jumpers, jp1 and jp2, you have to switch both jp1 jumpers to the other side. Now it is set to headphones, notice that your sound is amplified also on speakers.

good luck
