Intel or AMD system

I have a P42A Ghz machine with a MSI 845E Max MOBO

My Friend has a Athlon XP 2200+ With a MSI K7N2 MOBO

I could trade him But some of my ram dont work with his board.

I have 768 and he has 512.

If I traded I would have 512 and him 768.


Is this a rip off for me?

and to answer ur question, no its not a ripoff, it would be an equal trade (well aslo depends on other hardware) considering he has a 2200+ which is equvilant (sp) to a p4 2.2 and u have more ram. but in most general applications/games, a computer doesn't really need more than 512 mb ram (unless ur into video editing and all that).

I was under the impression that a P4 was a P4 and A Celeron was a Celeron.
