Kids Do I have my facts straight?

Memory bandwidth = memory clock frequency x memory capacity?

Higher memory bandwidth results in higher frame rates - FSAA - AF?

What purpose do pixell shaders serve, and what effect does that operation have on what I see on screen?

What's a Texel(sp?)

Oh, and can someone explain to me when to use vsync and when not to?

I know I could probably find these answers in some long-winded articles somewhere, but I'm hoping I can get the answers in simple terms here (not suggesting that anyone here is simple minded )

And I want to get my post count up too!

Memory bandwith is freqency x2 since all cards these days use DDR. So a card with 310mhz ram has a effective speed of 620. Higher bandwith can result in higher framerates, but it aint gonna do no good if the gpu is slow. Pixel shaders "shade" those hard edges that everything digital has and softens them to give things more life like appearnce(sp).
