Separate inboxes in Outlook Express?

I have 4 email accounts that I look after and I want each of them to have their own inbox. I really do not want the emails mixing because 2 of the accounts are entirely made for spam and I really don't want my spam mixed with my real email.

Can this be done with Outlook Express or do I need to get real Outlook for this?

Assuming each of these accounts uses a different email address, then OE will do the job. Just create 4 separate identities. Put one of each of your email accounts in each identity.

Another possible option -- if you don't want to use different identities -- might be to create 4 "inbox" folders (different names for each), and create a set of rules (based on the addressed "To:" email address name) that will automatically move newly received mail to their respective "inbox" folders.

Just go to Tools>accounts>add. That's all I did and my accounts all separate into their own sub-accounts with folders.

I have to make identities? That sucks. Is there any other way? I sort of want something where it checks all of them at once and I can see all of them at once, sort of like Foxmail. I want to keep OE though so I can check my hotmail.

Oh and Jerry, that's how I added all of my current accounts and it never did anything like that. It pools them all into 1 box.

Send a message via ICQ to Mntsnow Send a message via AIM to Mntsnow
Create different folders and then create a rule to put each different email addy into it's own folder

email1 into folder1
email2 into folder2
and so forth.

I thought that was mentioned already.

I can offer only this warning: after creating a second Inbox, with the intention of checking a second account, I learned that Outlook always took the mail off of the remote server (I never figured out how to configure Outlook to leave the mail on the remote server).

When I gave up on that idea, I then discovered that my setup is now wonked and I cannot remove the second inbox which I created for that remote server.....

The second inbox is now assigned to a non existent smtp address so I won't remove the emails.

I hope this problem was all my own fault, that way you can say - 'That dunbar is a dolt, I just did it correctly'. I stopped asking about 'lookOut' after a few months, lotsa of ideas were ineffective.

As far as leaving mail on server for Outlook Express, the company I work for has a way of signing in from a remote location to view company e-mail at home while on the internet. That is where the settings are for leaving mail on server.

At home, my ISP also has a way of signing on in their website and reading the mail, and changing settings.

I think the answer is to find out from your ISP how to log read your email away from home, and the settings will be there someplace.
