making curves in photoshop

hey all
ok i have a long straight piece of DNA and I want to curve it around my picture I am currently reading some tuts but though someone prob has a quick answer for me...

im using photoshop 6 but have other programs if needed..

Use the Pen Tool. It's a little awkward at first, but once you realize how it works it becomes fun to use.

i was doing a piece on euthanasia once for school and i tried to wind a needle round a crucafix,(bit of contraversy) but......i found it wasnt really that easy, it totally distaughted the image to the point where you couldnt figure what it was, so unless you have an image thats simple i persaonally wouldnt bother
