phammond is on a distinguished road
sound out of sink with picture

captured home movie from my camcorder on on to windows movie maker works fine.
But when i burned it on to cd and played it on my dvd player
the sound was out of sink with the picture the file format
is windows media/ video file any ideas on how to rectify this.

first off, dont post your problem twice.

when you say "windows media/ video file " do you mean .wmv? you should try and record it in mpg. to do that you may want to get a converter to convert wmv to mpeg. how large is the file? you may want to try and make a VCD, try www.vcdhelp.com the audio out of sync could be a result of the media as well.

Once in MPEG or AVI container format, you can adjust the audio playback delay or slightly change the video frame rate to fix the sync problems. I recommend VirtualDub and YAAI for this task, both are free.
